I’m a curriculum and assessment writer with a background in elementary education.
My work is shaped by years in the classroom paying close attention to how students think—where understanding begins, where it starts to break down, and what their responses actually reveal. That attention informs how I design materials.
I create standards-aligned content that is clear, structured, and purposeful. This includes reading passages, comprehension questions, and assessment items designed not just to check answers, but to show how students are making meaning.
I’m especially interested in the space between what a student knows and what they almost understand. That is where good questions belong, and where assessment is most useful.
My work focuses on:
reading comprehension and written response
standards-aligned content (Common Core and state standards)
designing questions that surface misconceptions and partial understanding
writing content that feels natural but holds up under close reading
I bring both instructional awareness and strong writing to each project, with a focus on clarity, usability, and work that supports real understanding.
