I’m a writer and an educator.
My years as an educator taught me to pay attention. To notice when something isn’t landing quite right and to help others say what they don’t yet have the words for. That carries into my writing.
I care about how a piece sounds as much as what it says. I listen for when a sentence is off and cut what doesn’t belong. I stay with something long enough for it to feel true and not just finished.
Most of my work is in essays, articles, and projects where voice matters. Work that needs to feel natural and hold up.
I work on both small and long-form pieces, but I’m especially drawn to writing that doesn’t want to be overworked. The kind that asks for restraint and careful attention. A lighter hand. Less noise.
If you have something that needs to be written, or something that isn’t quite right yet, I’m happy to take a look.
